Quirks

I know from experience (while growing up my family owned 5 cats) that cats can be a bit quirky.

One of our cats, Chloe? She liked to go on walks.
Fred? He would seek out paper and lay on it.
Luna? She loved to knead massage your scalp... good thing she was declawed!

Dutch has been a whole new experience for me. He has more quirks than any cat I've ever known.

Dutch will not eat his cat food once the bowl is about an inch full. He will sit in front of it and meow, and meow, and meow until you come re-fill it. *Little does he know, I just dump the uneaten food into the food dish with the new stuff. Muahaha

Dutch will pee in the cat box each and every time, but he is particular about dropping the deuce. He will poop in the box maybe 2 out of every 5 times. The other 3? On the floor... not inches away from the box.
Sometimes (if I leave the rugs out... which I don't often do anymore due to the doo doo) he is courteous enough to cover it up. Ha!

For the first few months of life in our family, Dutch would only cuddle with R. Now he follows me around the house like my shadow.

Dutch will attack and scar me up, but he never lays a claw on B (good kitty).

Stay tuned for photo evidence of Dutch's crazy.

Dutch

*Just a quick intro for those of you who do not know Dutch the kitty*

Dutch (formerly named Astro) is a rescued cat. He lived in the woods with his mom/brother until about 5 weeks when the Gastineau Humane Society discovered them. Once found, the cats were vaccinated, spayed/neutered and food/litter trained.

My family and I (R, B and our dog Lennie) saw this photo and knew [instantly] we had to make this kitty ours!

Once the adoption was final, we welcomed Dutch into our home/hearts... only to be repaid by this cat's crazy.

Here on this blog you will find (in no particular order) the quirky tales of this wily cat. Don't worry... he's sweet. Sometimes.
